Caribbean Poker Rules

Caribbean Poker is a variation of poker played with a standard deck of 52 virtual cards. There are no wildcards. Our game of Caribbean Poker is governed by the following rules.

1. Object of the Game:

A player tries to determine whether or not their 5-card poker hand is higher than the dealers.

2. Game Play:

Play begins with each player making an ante bet in a designated circle where the bets are placed. After the bets are placed, the dealer deals five cards face up for the player and another five cards is dealt to themselves; four cards face down and one card face up. Once the cards have been dealt, players have the option to either raise or fold. If a player chooses to raise, twice the amount of their ante is placed in the raise box. If the player folds, their ante bet is surrendered and dealer collects both the ante bet and cards. Once the player has made a decision to either raise or fold, the dealer will reveal their cards to the player(s). The dealer's hand is then compared to that of the player's hand. Rankings used in Caribbean Poker are the same as those used in standard poker hands, with the lowest hand being a High Card and the highest hand being a Royal Flush. If the dealer is unable to "qualify", that is has a hand showing at least an Ace and a King then all ante bets pay even money, and all raised bets push. If the dealer does qualify with an Ace and a King, then each remaining player hand is played against the dealer's hand, and the best poker hand wins in each case. If the dealer has the better hand, all bets for that player lose (both the ante and raise). If the player's hand is equal to the dealer's hand, then all bets push. Lastly, if the player's hand wins, the player is paid even money on the ante bet, and the raise bet pays according to the house pay table shown below, or by clicking on pay table within the game.

3. Bonus Payouts:

Bonuses are only paid when you beat a qualifying hand.
